DVR522 recording issue

Hi,
Couple of strange issues with DVR522

1) Twice now, once when recording a show, and once just watching tv, the second tv, showed the guide, but when pressing a channel, did not bring on the station. TV1 was able to view the channel properly. The only resolution was a hard reboot on the dvr522.

2) At least five occasions, I have noticed somewhat loud noise from the dvr522, a hard reboot has resolved this. Not sure if it was the disk thrashing about for some odd reason.

3) I've also noticed the drive fairly warm/hot? at times, and have read some posts on that. Don't know if there is a way to tell the temperature. We have the unit so the vents aren't covered.

WOuld love to know if anyone has encountered the above, especially items 1 and 2.

Greg: This seems to happen more frequently since upgrade 2.54 arrived. Last night, the timer brought up the channel. At least the banner was shown, but there was no audio or video on TV2. After rebooting, it returned to normal. The noise you heard was probably the vent fan. Raising the unit with a couple of spacers under the feet seems to aid cooling, particularly if it is in an enclosure. The 522 is indeed a strange box, a bit like the "little girl with a little curl in the middle of her forehead". When it is good, it is very good, when it is bad, it is horrid!
