Hi,

I have a Sony SAT-T60 that is dying a slow death (hard drive grinding). I still have several shows on it that I want to watch. I already purchased a replacement unit (R10). I want to save what little time I have left on the SAT-T60 to watch the shows on it. Here is my plan:

1 - Install the R10
2 - Switch service to the R10
3 - Start recording new shows on the R10
4 - When I have the time I want to connect the SAT-T60 outputs to my TV and watch the shows that are still on it.

My question is - will this work? Since the service has been switched to the R10 will the SAT-T60 still allow me to view the shows even though it can’t connect to the satellite?

Thanks,

Ken

You could record the shows onto a DVD or VHS tape from the old Tivo, then watch them as many times as you like.
