Editing posts is there a time limit ?

I posted a thread http://www.satelliteguys.us/showthread.php?p=721816#post721816 and i wanted to go back and edit it again with some more info, but there is no edit button any longer.

Does it go away after a certain time ?

I had edited it once already, is that the rule ? one edit only ?

Hrm, went to my oldest past post and you are right, no Edit link, either it times out, or maybe it happened when they converted to the new vB dbase from the old one.

I bet on the latter.

If it does time out, it will cause issue with threads that get updated over time.

It times out after 2 days.

We were having an issue with a few users who were going back and editing their messages to make it looked like they had a time machine.
