Question: Why does E* blackout a ballgame on dish ESPN-HD, yet I can view same game on ESPN-HD voom. As we speak I am watching the Yankee game that was blacked out on E*. This has happened numerous times this past 2 weeks. eg. Mets, Phillies ...

I get this problem with E* blacking out games in Los Angeles (120+ miles from San Diego where I live), that the local cable company doesn't. From what I've heard, E* claims to be following the rules set forth by the various professional sports leagues (NBA, MLB, NFL, etc.) in applying blackout rules, which apparently don't seem to apply to the cable companies. Or is E* just unaware that San Diego is far enough away from LA to not have to black games out?
