ESPN HDLITE

UConn-Kentuckey game right now - no pixellation seen, looking at uniforms and numbers during motion.

Setting up close < 3ft details are very sharp, no blocking, no smearing, no pixellation.

Switched to my 84 inch Sony CRT front projector on a ViP211 - still no pixellation, etc. on ESPN off 110.

I even rewound and played the game a 1/15 slo-mo nothing but the usual motion blur.

I wish I had low expectations to live up to. :( It looks alright, but it could look a lot better.

HD-SDI spec.

The place I just left we couldn't handle that through out the entire network only in a short jump w/in the location. Then to send it to transmitter it had to be encoded (insert the word compressed here) and transmitted via the STL (studio transmitter link) and decoded. That must be why networks are looking at 10 Gb nets in the future.

Well, having the opportunity to watch ESPN on Charter cable over the holidays at a relative's house, I have to say they have problems in general. It was never as bad as some of the stuff I have seen in the last few months on Dish and now Charter.

Espn switches between 110 and i think 72 on my receiver, every time I check it is a toss up to which one it will be, but I really don't notice a difference when it is one or the other.
