Check www.glorystar.tv

Daystar is broadcasting Free-To-Air via the Galaxy 19 satellite on Ku band (in addition to some others on both Ku and C bands).

For about $200 you can get the sattelite dish and receiver pre-configured to receive not only DayStar but many other christain TV and Radio channels with NO SUBSCRIPTION cost.

Daystar has been back on Dish Network for over two years.

And SkyAngel has been out of business for a year now.

Well OK I guess you could argue that SA IPTV is still SA, except to avoid giving free service to the lifetimers SA itself says it was created as a separate business. So technically SA died.

Kinda ironic how that saga turned out. I used to watch Daystar but now 2 years later I neither watch Daystar nor subscribe to SA, Inc. IMO everybody lost.

OTOH mom really enjoys TCT which went national sometime just after this little spat and she used to watch Daystar 80% of the time the TV was on, which is like 20 hours a day. Included in that 20% is cartoons when the great-grandson comes to visit. Well you know how that goes. :)

closing thread as the original post was almost 5 years ago...someone decided to blow their 1st post on bumping this one
