I have a 10' mesh dish that is attached to the top of a 15' pipe the pipe is secured by a bracket on the top of my roof and can I not reach the the feedhorn to replace it with a new one the dish faces away from my house and wondering if I could disconnect the 1 bolt that actuator arm is attached to the back of my dish and then I could swing the dish towards the top of my house and then I could change the feedhorn, by doing this will it change my dish locations after I reconnect the actuator.

Hi Fogdog,

I have a dish in a similar situation along the side of my building.

I have taken one bolt holding the actuator on mine loose several times and had someone hold the outside edge of the dish until I moved out of the way, and then we gently laid it down against the pole to work on the feedhorn.

After putting the actuator back in place, none of my positions have ever been lost.

Edit: Here is a picture!

Hope that helps!

That sounds like it should work fine. But, be careful on that roof. Falls can be painful. Might want to get some help if you try this? Good Luck!
