Flyers/Senators on NHL CI

Do you have any idea what the SD Center Ice on Directv looks like? Because if it looks any better then Dish's, I think I might be giving them a chance after this season...

It wasn't great (HD quality) but it wasn't EP quality on a VHS tape. It was about normal for an SD broadcast.
HD spoils people. I remember in years past hardly being able to make the puck out in some broadcasts. Also, I think that a lot of people have their sharpness settings way to high. I have noticed this at a couple of friends houses. They bump up the contrast and sharpness when watching an HD broadcast and wonder why SD looks so rough.

It seems that the SD broadcasts from U.S. sources are often clearer than the Canadian SD broadcasts.

My theory is that Dish gets the HD feeds on U.S. broadcasts and converts to SD broadcasts on those RSN's that they haven't contracted for HD. This gives a better SD image -- much like ESPNHD when they broadcast a program in SD.

It looks like Dish picks up all the Canadian broadcasts in SD and after Dish compresses them further, the PQ is terrible. The Canadian broadcasts always seem to have worse SD than most of the U.S. SD broadcasts.

In any event, there is an extreme range in PQ for SD CI broadcasts and the Canadian SD PQ is always at the low end.

The rogers sportsnet games in previous years always looked the best for SD PQ, this one is on the NHL I think.

The TSN feeds on the other hand looked bad last year and they are very good this year! LOL they just flip flopped.

What button would it be?
