When posting a new topic over at Android Forums, when you type in your thread subject and move to the next field, it builds a short listing of other threads based on your thread title. Twice now, when I've done this, I've gotten relevant threads that have helped. Yes, I search, but I tend to restrict it to certain forums...
Problem with this would be people who come up with intelligent subjects like "Help! it don't work" or similar.
That site is running vB 3.8.1, so it's not a new feature.
