Future television contracts top SEC meetings' agenda

I wish they would make a channel of their own like the Big 10.

That would be interesting. As long as I can enjoy watching the Gators and their undefeated season going to title game this year its all good for me

SEC looks at creating its own TV network -- -- OrlandoSentinel.com

"League officials continue to study the feasibility of an SEC Network, which could launch as soon as the fall of 2009. The channel could be modeled upon similar endeavors by the NFL, the Big Ten and the Mountain West Conference.
Raycom Sports executive producer Jimmy Rayburn said Tuesday he expects the league to decide on a channel by the end of this calendar year. Regardless of that decision, Rayburn said he expects the SEC to maintain working deals with major national networks, likely
CBS and ESPN."

Sounds like they will be doing the same as the Big Ten did ...

I just wish it would happen before this season.

If the SEC goes network, I think we may be hearing the church bells for ESPN gamescam soon - out of market games won't be numerous anymore with 2 of the BCS conferences on their own networks.
