GENIE 2 HS17 SSID

I can't recall if the hidden SSID is generic or if it includes something unique like the last 4 of the receiver ID. It would be logical to be a unique ID, as apartment buildings or homes may be close enough to pickup two of the same unit. The hidden SSID is not a user configurable option.
That said, do you have two HS17 on the same SWiM or LAN network? If so, that is the problem, you can only have one server with the HS17. Clients can't pick between so to speak, which is why they only allow one on an account. If you have two HS17, possibly two accounts, you will need to find a way to isolate them and have clients on the network for the server you want them to see. That would mean separate dishes (or separate feeds from the dish with band-stop filters installed, and only connecting one to the internet or having one connected through a separate network IP range (second router or a vLan isolated from the other).
That would be quite a unique setup if you had to go that route.

Thanks for your fast answer and YES unfortunately for me your are correct. So far I was fortunate to separate them using a existing routers with assignable lan ports with different subnets. I wish there would be an easier solution to this. Its weird once both gennies are on the same lan only one SSID is broadcasted and all the clients wanna connect to that one. Crazy part is that we are doing series of houses with no coax inside at all. We using existing fiber to home infrastructure and that's why we have to use wireless clients for every TV and many of them more than 15 per house.

In reality there are 2 accounts and it is a hassle physically and accounting wise.
Directv doesn't support more than one HS17 on an account. So it isn't "weird" that it doesn't work right in a situation they don't support. If they don't support it, they don't test it, and even if they find out it doesn't work won't waste their time and resources fixing problems in a usage model they don't support.
While you have two accounts, they don't anticipate and likely don't support two accounts in the same house connected to the same dish and/or same network either.
You've found a solution that works for you, just keep using that because even if Directv was to announce support for more than HS17 on an account that doesn't mean it would work right for your situation of two HS17s on different accounts on the same network.

The Op Has 2 Different accounts (with different names) at the same Address --This is more common than anyone would think. If he was a "TESTER" --he would not have solved his issue with 2 different routers --as long ago that "system" fix was given to Testers before the "test" servers were ever sent out.
Having worked in the field --this was common in MAC MANSIONS in suburbs --that have many "ROOM MATES" under one roof.
