Getting calls about new "deal" from Dish reseller.

It is only against the business rules to switch a customer to Directv if you signed the customer up for Dish to begin with isn't it? Or did they change the rules to where you can't sign up any Dish customers? Directv had that rule years ago.

Its not against the rules if the customer came to you and asked about information to switch to Directv, or vice versa.

Its not against the rules to do advertising to specifically target Dish customer such as driving down a street and sending a post card to every house that had a DISH Network Dish. Dish may terminate you if you did something like this, but if your not a retailer with them there is really nothing they can do about it.

What is against the rules is to specifically target your Dish customers that you signed up as a DISH Network retailer and convince them to switch to Directv for a period of 5 years after you signed them up.

I think Directv has a rule you can't switch their customers over either.

If all satellite or cable providers would do a better job in retaining their customers, then people wouldn't have to switch to get the better deals.

This thing with Media General has folks coming out of the wood work looking to switch, no need to solicit anyone here.
