Getting my Box to call in to voom?

Okay when my installer set things up and activated my boxes he didnt mess with phoneline connection it seems. Is Voom like DTV/Tivo in that thats how it gets its software updates? I went into setup menu's and the section for Activate Unit no info was ever entered. ie account#, Phone installer etc all blank. Obviously the boxes are activated as I can watch on all of em. I did try the option I think it was called reportback but it says Failed. Do I need to fill in all the info for it to be sucessfull in calling in?

I guess I wondered if even need phone connected to it since right now only payperview looks to be adult goodie I dont want.

the phone lines are not being used right now. That is not how you get you upgrades. we are not required yet to fill in all of that info at this time so as long as you can watch you voom than you shoould be all set.
You will need the phone connect in the future they say.

Right now the phone line is for caller ID only I do believe, which is a nice feature:)
