got new hdtv and now have problems with dish cable box

I recently got a new HDTV(Sharp Aquos) and immediately started noticing problems with the dish sat/cable box.
It started acting sluggish, having to hit buttons 1-5 times to get them to do anything, and then the info screen that tells what the program you are watching is keeps coming up all by itself. Sometimes it is minutes between the screen coming up, and sometimes it does it constantly.
If I pull the smart card and reboot it, it seems to work fine for awhile, then it starts doing it again.
I feel that it has to be some signal coming from the TV that is causing this because it was working perfectly with the old TV and started as soon as the new one was installed.

Any help would be appreciated.

Remotes are interfering with the receiver. You would need to change to a different tv.

Have seen this with a 211 receiver move the receiver a little ways from the tv !

Any neighbors close by....they may be causing interference with their remote ?

I have a Sharp Aquos and 211K receiver and all is fine. I do not use the TV remote.
