Harmony Remote & Hopper 3

I have read in several threads about using a Harmony remote with the H3. I read that some came from a 722 before and stated that everything works on a H3 without changes.
However I also read a post about the All Power Off not working with the H3. Is that something common or just a single occurence?
Please post your experiences with your Harmony if you have one.
 
It doesn't matter. The H3, just like previous models, is never really off unless you pull the plug.
My Harmony One gets along just fine with the H3 and turns it to standby just like it is supposed to.

I understand that it is just standby. The 722 I have is that way too. It is just that there seems to be a difference in commands to put a 722 and a Hopper into standby for some reason.
When you programmed the Harmony, what model receiver did you type in under adding devices?
 
Good question. It has been so long ago I'm not sure, so I took a look. It is the Hopper. I must have changed it from the 722k from days gone by.

I'm one that it doesn't go to sleep with the all power off. I'll have to double check, but I think I still have it set for the 722 I used to have.
 
I know I can add the actual Hopper device and add this to the dedicaded activity, BUT I just didn't want to redo all the button customizations again.
 
I don't think it matter as I think the standby power use is about the same as on.

The all off did put my H2k to sleep without issue. So I'm not sure changing my harmony activity will do me any good, but I may try it.

I use a Harmony and it works just fine with the H3 just it did with the H2K before it and the 722 before that...

So you never changed any settings since the 722 and everything including All Devices Off works just fine?

Yeah, I knew what you meant. It's the Harmony that I can't remember if I made changes when I moved to Hopper. For sure, I made no changes from the H2K to the H3...

My Harmony 880 does as you describe, in that it doesn't put the Hopper into standby. I originally had mine setup using 622 codes and worked fine all the way through the H2. Only recently switched it to Hopper codes when I reprogrammed it for my new TV and its working fine with the H3 w/o any changes. Through all of this, I don't think mine ever put any of my Dish receivers into standby when using the main off button. Never really had an issue with this behavior since standby doesn't really accomplish much.

If so, it apparently DOES put it to sleep if the green led turns off.

Like jsheridan said, just the single green LED, that turns off in standby. There is no red LED to indicate that anything is being recorded.

I miss the red recording light. It lets me know what's going on before I do something stupid like pull the plug or satellite connection, not that it happens all that often.

Now I have to turn my system on and do Option/Option (or Red/Red depending on remote) to check.
