Someone posted at Yahoo this link about an HD DRV upgrade for early VOOM adopters. The date on this article is 10/17/03 and I would not put too much faith in this article. Can anyone post information about this Motorola DVR 580? I could not get any informaiton.

Voom does not have an HDTV TiVo receiver as many consumers have been demanding from the other satellite and cable providers. They use the Motorola 550 receiver for NTSC and HDTV control. Within months, a Voom representative tells AudioRevolution.com, that they plan to start using the Motorola 580 which will have recording capability. Upgrades for early adopters is reportedly to be done at no cost.

I'm looking to. I think it will go like this: firewire = free upgrade, DVR = more $s. This is why I went with a single box (before the price plummeted) vs 2 boxes.
