HD/DVR single tuner?

Does or is Dish going to offer a single tuner HD/DVR mpeg4 receiver? I have an 811 but would like to get a HD/DVR but don't need a two tuner unit.

No.

They have dual tuners, so that you can record two things at once, or record something, and watch something else at the same time.

Because there isn't enough worthwhile HD content to warrant paying the extra $5/month for the second tuner. But thanks for your reply, it was really informative.................not.:down

You do not pay an additonal fee on a dual tuner if it is connected to a phone line.

You do get PIP and the ability to record something and watch something different.

Some of us are spoiled by the dual tuners.... Like me and others...

Yeah, just hook it to a phone line, and it doesn't cost anymore per month then a single tuner would.
