Hello all--got a C-Band setup

Just wanted to say hello to the forum. I'm really looking forward to browsing around the here and seeking the answers to the many questions I'm sure I'm going to have. Wife and I are buying a house and we took a few pictures during the inspection this evening. One of them being of this dish attached to the house. It hasn't been used since the early 90s with the original owner. The cables are still running into the house and it has the original Zenith receiver and some cables up the attic. Looking forward to playing around and seeing what I can do with it. (for a little money as possible)

welcome to the group
the zenith receiver is probably a analog receiver and will still probable pick up a few channels and move the big dish.
depending on the dish if its set up for c band or for both c & ku it should be a lot of fun. but be warned this hobby is very addictive ......

I would check that actuator out, if they dont get used they tend to rust up and lock up and never move again...

I was lucky. The dish i'm working on had not been used in 15 years. I oiled up all the moving parts on the actuator and it works fine.

Nice dish. I am working on a 12 footer without mesh. that encourages me.
