Hello all just want to introduce myself and say yes I know nothing at all about Satellite reception 
I am actually pretty lost to all of this. not even sure what location to ask questions in yet lol.
I am a systems administrator for a company that owns 17 short line railroads so computers are easy for me. Hoping to pick this up pretty quick.
It really boils down to me just wanting another hobby and get the kids off my back by getting the local OTA channels and make the wife happy by being able to get some of the Christian channels on Satellite. Not sure where to start at the Satellite stuff so feel free to hit me in the head and point out any mistakes along the way
