help? 4dtv poor reception

Video tears especially reds, audio crackles when video is white
Especially bad on Bravo, Scifi, etc. Many channels are fine.

New Norsat LNBs, replaced F connectors, re-aimed dish, etc.
920 receiver, Orbitron 10' dish, Corotor II

I tried calling my local sattelite dealer to see if he could come out and re-tune the dish but got only voicemail and no call back (4 calls, one per week). I guess I am going to have to figure this out and fix it myself. (Boulder, Co area)

I don't have a spectrum analyzer.

Suggestions?

What signal do you get? The signal has to be rock solid to get reds without a few sparkles.

I had a similar problem with my old 920. It only happened on Videocipher channels.
In the clear analog and Digicipher channels were fine. I thought it might be the Videocipher module, so I put it in my old Uniden 4400 Super. The Videocipher channels were ok on the Uniden. I lived with the problem until I replaced the 920 with a 922. Everything was fine on the 922. The problem was apparently in the 920 receiver. I would suggest that you contact ATS Electronics, explain the problem and see what they recommend. http://www.ats-electronics.com
