Help me out with TC Premier pricing

I was looking at my bill and trying to figure out pricing.

This is how my service looks on my account online.
Total Choice Plus 45.99
If you add all 5 premium channels 45.99 + 12 + 11 + 10 + 8 + 7 = 93.99

OR - I could subscribe to TC Premier for 99.99 ???????

I know the new rate for TC+ is 49.99, but this still does not add up

Is DVR free with Premier? Rumor about HD package being included?

Can anyone make sense of this for me?

Which would = $107.98 (you save $7.99 bundled)

Did they add HD Pack to TCP?

I know we were starting the rumor hoping it so, but don't think they didn't.

But anyways yes, TCP is now $2 more than simply adding all the premiums to the TC+ package

I am never 100% sure but thats the last I remember reading. I would call if I had concerns. Play dumb a bit and you might get a freebie tossed your way.

But is has gone down to 9.99 fm 10.99
and yes the DVR fee is waived if you have TC Premier whether you have one or
10 DVR's...H/D pack is not included..just got my bill.......

I guess I'll have to call customer retention and try to find out. If both DVR fee and HD pack are included, I might go for it. Otherwise, I'll just stick to one or two premiums. I usually end up with a few credits with a call.

Ahh, thanks Moon. I haven't changed my package since DirecTV started the HD pack and that was just to add it to what I already had, so I am a bit behind on all these changes. So the original poster is correct that he/she pays more for the add-ons as opposed to the bundled package?

Well it appears they are pricing on some sort of sliding scale, rather than a linear
one...for example, my new bill totals 126.72(was 124.00)..Fla tax is heavy....

I'm assuming this is only for new subs, but here is this new convoluted pricing D* is using - this is from BOTH their website & their latest brochures:

So, where DID D* come up with this new math, when they "waive the $5.99 DVR fee" on TCP, but then you actually are ONLY paying $3.99 less for the DVR fee on TCP? This is getting to be as bad as some of E*'s goofy pricing...
Thankfully I have the lifetime DVR fee & ONLY have TC+...
