It's not like this on my Dads setup. It started two weeks ago and Ive had this receiver 3 months. Any ideas?

Contact Dish technical support. The more compliants they here about the deteriorated PQ on DSCHD and TNT-HD, the better. Maybe they will figure out that their experiment to condense 3 HD channels into the transponder space for 2 doesn't work.
