Help newbie Fortec Ultra & Microyal H to H

Just installed on roof top a Fortec Ultra Lifetime & Microyal H to H motor, 30" dish. Zip code 28635 and set elevation 54, lat at 36, declination angle 24. Can't lock on to any sats. Are my settings correct? We are having trouble figuring what "true south" is.Do we need to set east/west limits on receiver before we find a sat for wait until we lock on to a sat? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

PSB will hook you up with your true south bird, and all of the angles and elevations you could ever want to study.

motor elev.= 54 deg.
Dish elev.=24deg

(Just these two angles need to be set one on motor and one one dish, never touch the motor elevation after setting it, the dish elevation may need moved up or down slightly to get the maximum signal quality, use the signal quality meter only)

As mentioned above make sure your L.O. is set correctly for the LNBF you have.

I use the below TP. to find AMC-5, Use USALS after entering your latitude and Longitude in the AMC-5 antenna set up screen, do not touch the limits at all unless you think the dish will hit something when it moves.

Freq. 11808MHz (H) SR : 4.164 Msps

We just installed Fortec Ultra Lifetime Universal Lnbf with Microyal H to H motor. We tried repeated but couldn't find sat. We paid 2 guys today to come and after 8 hours, they found 3 satellites. AMC 4 and AMC3 and T5.Our problem is that the receiver won't hold the settings and save our positions. We keep losing our sats. Could anyone please help. It's like the motor has a mind of its own and keeps changing the settings.

Sounds like you may need to press "Reference Position" in the antenna set up screen on your true south satellite, the motor then takes all its calculations from this point. (Zero on motor) Good luck.

Menu
right arrow button
Antenna Set up (pick true south sat.)
OK
Down to USALS
OK
Reference Position
Store
Exit
OK to save
(If it does not say "saved" change it to DiSEqC 1.2 (and save) then back to USALS to make sure it gets saved!)

(These directions are for a SG2100, so you may have to use all DiSEcC 1.2 setting with your motor see your manual)

Help storing satellites

Greetings, We have found T5, AMC4, AMC3 a few days ago, paid two guys to locate them; however, we're having trouble storing them. Our Microyal h to h motor seems to try to change the positions everytime we try to move from one sat to the other. WE have a fortec ultra and universal lnb. T5 has great quality. The directions in the manual are terrible, and we don't know if we're correctly storing the sats. ONe of the sats the tech guys found was not G10r, as they thought, it came up as Dish 105 on the scan. So that sat is programmed wrong. I deleted that sat. I went to antenna setup, scrolled down put in frequency for daystar on T5, went down to 1.2 positioner setting, hit ok, went to the screen to move motor, got quality of 80-90 which was great signal strength, and then hit store button. Exited and hit sat button and watched T5. Is this the correct procedure, because everytime we then go back to set AMC 4 or AMC3 and go through the same procedure, the motor does not hit the sats. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, when we scroll through the sat lists the motor keeps trying to move. We also have a problem with the receiver seemingly locking up. We turn it off for a minute or two, and then it seems to work again. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
