Looks like Hispasat 30W4 (replaced by 30W6 at 30W) is now moving west and will be renamed Hispasat 143W-1 and will be operated by Hispasat for Intelsat, apparently to partially replace Intelsat 29e (that was at 50W and failed earlier this year)

according to LyngSat it's currently at around 51W and moving west.

I would not expect to find any video on that bird once it's settled at 143W, and I won't be able to see it from here. But might be one to keep an eye on for our West-coast friends

An initial nudge with a thruster burn initiates a controlled drift, then another burn to stop the drift and place in the operational box. It appears that the satellite will be operated at an inclined orbit. This will conserve fuel to prolong the platform's lifespan.

It's been fun!

Don't laugh, but is this a good basic test for an LNBF??
