Heck with 3D, will the Hopper work with 4k Tv? :popcorn;)

After reading the questionable Hopper reviews, I had no problem enjoying the reviews for this baby.

4K or UHD support may require new hardware.

Doesn't matter how many pixels the TV has... The signal is either 1440x1080 or 1280x720.

4K is WAAAAAYYYY overrated. You will in most situations be hard pressed to see much of a difference - no difference at all at distances most people sit from their TV's. Many if not most sit too far to see a difference from 720P to 1080I let alone to 4K. Blu-ray at 1080P is the best bet to see a better picture - virtually as good as you will see from 4K. There are a gadzillion articles that outline this, here is but two.

http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-33199_7-57610862-221/four-4k-tv-facts-you-must-know/

Just to be clear, it isn't being said there is not a difference, the problem is for the human eye to see it unless the screen is beyond huge, or you are very very close to it. An example - a 65" TV would require you to sit 4 feet from it. 55" 3 feet. And that is not even taking into account there will be no TV reception of 4K for what has to be a very long time if ever, it will be from other sources. By the time that kind of bandwidth is possible some other type of broadcast will be developed. 1080p isn't even available yet except in very limited times.

I don't see why you would even worry about the Hopper being able to show 4k until there is actually some content to watch. We don't even have 1080p content to view other than VOD.

I don't know about you but that is the ugliest TV I've seen in a long time. I really dislike those and can't see why they designed them that way. For that amount of money I would not put that crap in my house.

LG has an 84" and it actually looks like a TV. It's also priced at $16,999.99 and it won't be long before you see it selling below $10,000. I actually considered displaying one in our showroom but I'm waiting for more content to show on it.

I want to know if the HWS is HoloSuite compatible!

While the reviews are funny, it just goes to show how unreliable Amazon reviews are.

I always takes those any reviews on Amazon with a grain of salt....Unfortunately those Hopper "Reviews" lead's to misinformation for the casual buyer. I get all my facts here at SatelliteGuys . :happyd2:
