I hear the Houston HD locals are already "lit" up. But has anyone here had the install yet? If so how good are the Houston locals in HD?

I'm in the "Houston local channel area", well 150 miles SW of Houston, but well out of HD OTA range.

I already get the NBC, CBS & FOX NY MPEG-2 Feeds through D*. And just got my waiver finally approved to get ABC. I'm really thinking of waiting to get MPEG-4 until they offer it as I enjoy getting the NY HD feeds. But I know MPEG-4 is the future, and hopefully MPEG-4 "might" bring about some more HD channels in the future.

Just got off the phone with D*'s Hi-Def eligibility department, the Houston CBS KHOU HD feed has not been added to MPEG-4 yet, the tech could not give a timetable as to when it would be added.

I got all four of the NY network HD feeds now, I think I'll wait to get MPEG-4 until CBS is added, or I might wait until more HD channels are added in MPEG-4.

Hopefully D* keeps the NY network MPEG-2 HD feeds up for awhile........
