How are you sorting your Sat in your Receiver

Does it matter?
I feel it should because when searching for FTA Channels you do not have to move around the dish much if you start in an order where the Sats anre next to each other.
Am I understanting this right?

Example

Sat

thanks Talrude

Or on the Satwork press menu/channel manager/blue button and you have your satellite list, then you can pick the next satellite in the arc no matter where you are, so there is no extra wear and tear. Cascade's right, I would make satellite one (1) your true south satellite and then add the next satellite to the west and so on, as for the satellites to the east of your true south I would would list them from 60 and down, it would be a good idea to get a print out of the arc then you know where you are all the time! :)

I have my channel setup as such
Galaxy 10 (the most common one for me)
Then I go E to W
AMC6, SBS6, AMC5, AMC9, AMC3, G11, T6, G3, T5, AMC4, AMC1, T9

less wear and tear on the motor.
