For reference, I am not able to lookup as to how many db of signal a standard DN reciever generates on the TV1 port and as well as the TV2 output port. This would be nice information to know on a advanced install (media cabinets, etc.)
With the cable company I would typically see on a good tap:
Ch__|db__
03__| +18
58__| +17
120_| +16
higher channel numbers with lower numbers does indicate loss due to the length in RG6 this would be normal, I believe its -3db for every 100 foot of RG6 on Ch3
With analog signals say ch 2,4,7 the most I could really push down to about -1 to +1 db before the picture on the tv (set on ch2) would really be degraded if I remember correctly.
I don't have a meter anymore to measure this, perhaps someone else knows?
