How to mount my satellite...

Hello

I was wondering if someone could help me with instructions on how to mount my new satellite on my roof. I understand the entire configuration of new satellites but I'm more interested in the "how to safely get up on the roof" aspect of things.

Any advice?

Does it have to be on the roof Sam? Don't think ladder-climbing 101 is in this forum anyplace. I put mine on a pole in the ground-I don't like putting things on the roof if I can avoid it! (dont much like climbing ladders either lol)

I was much more referring to the safety part. Just getting up there is not an issue . It doesn't have to be up there but I think that would be the best way to get a clear view in my densely populated area. Too many trees and houses blocking the way otherwise. I have a motorized system so hence the concern with not having a clear view in all directions.
