How to Presets on your Car Radio Work With Sat Radio?

I have an alpine 9835 and plan on adding the XM or Sirius box. This will provide a direct connection instead of a FM modulator.

Right now I have 12 FM & 6 AM presents on the radio.

When you add sat radio, do you get more presets?

Or do you simply use the jog shuttle all the time scan for the stations without the use of presets?

I do not have the SIR-ALP1 tuner but have read on siriusbackstage that this tuner box does provide presents and an iPod pass through. Go to this THREAD and look for the sub threads on Alpine.
