You are correct, however, the new NR will generally be a higher software number than the current CE, thus over writing it .... then when you do your next CE, tyou'll see that the CE number will be the higher one ...

Would like to get the HD upgrade, but dont know what you mean by "download the CE". Have pity on this poor dumb newby.
