HR24 Hard Drive

Just wanted to say I am so happy to be back with Directv. I wasn't able to get the Genie so I went with the HR24 DVR and 2 HD receivers. My question is how big is the hard drive in the HR24 and is it expandable with the use of a external hard drive?

I'm thinking 500 Gig and yes up to 2 TB's with eSATA drive, I use a WD red in a dock for my HR24-500.

Your Welcome, it might be a 1 TB internal, it's been so long since I've used the internal on mine I may be wrong.

Nope, you was right. 500 gig is it on the HR24. The 34/44 have 1 TB

Keep in mind with DirecTV, if you use an external, it replaces your internal drive and that your 2tb external is in place of the 500gb internal not in addition to it.
