Wife is back in grad schools and we're looking for a great deal on a TI-83+ or TI-84+. Seems like I saw a few great deals over the summer, but nothing these days. If anyone knows of a current deal, please post a link.

Thanks!

Thanks. Best price I've seen from a brick & mortor shop is Staples and Best Buy for $104.99 (TI-84+). I could have sworn I saw it from an established e-store (like TigerDirect.com or Amazon.com) for $89.99, with free shipping, a few months back when I wasn't in the market for one.

Do you need it for inclass work? If not, you might look into TI-Calc. It's the same as the real calulator, but is for your computer. It's free, but you need to find the rom images. If you need assistance, PM me.

If you are doing any calc or more advanced math, I would HIGHLY suggest getting a TI-92 or TI-89.

I used software based calculators, statistics modules, and was issued a laptop when I took a similar program 10 years ago, however she is required to have a TI-83+ or higher. The calculator is being used for business only, so a more advanced model is not needed.

Anyway, I just found a good price on the TI-83+ at OfficeDepot.com, along with a $20 coupon code from HotDealsClub.com, in addition to a $25 Rebate from Officedepot:

Final price for a TI-83+ was $44.99, plus tax, with free delivery - should be here on Thursday.

I remember having a TI-85 in high school and getting minesweeper and tetris working on it. :D

Our local WalMart has them on clearance currently. Maybe yours does too :)
I don't remember the price but I did see they were the graphing calculators.

I had one of those in highschool. Thank God I don't have to use that dam calculator anymore!

I remember having a math teacher in high school who used to check our calculators before taking an exam to make sure we didn't store any notes in our calculator.

So one day I created a little file on mine called "Johnson" which was the last name of the math Teacher. When he opened the file to check it I put in the following message...

"Mr. Johnson, I was gonna cheat on your exam I deffinitly wouldn't be storing ansewers in my calculator knowing your going to check it"

He handed it back to me and smiled :)

The funney thing was that I actually did cheat, I just had 2 calculators that looked the same and switched them after he checked the memory.
