Signal really means nothing except that your LNBF is hooked up. You can get a 70 signal pointing at the ground. Its the Quality meter that you have to watch when aiming the dish. Use VERY small movements when adjusting the dish, 1/16th of an inch can make the difference between no picture and the highest quality reading.

...guys, just using all your suggestions, parameters, playing with with all options, left-right, less-more etc... - NO "Q" at all.... any gimmick ? other problems than installation ?...how to be sure ?....

Other than the obvious, like disconnected or bad cables, have you tried to change transponders (flip through the list of transponders on the satellite you're aiming at)?

...can somebody explain that phenomenon Signal (S) "70" - Quality (Q) "0" -how these two settings can co-exist ?...getting (electronically) confused ....thanks...ChrisMat

Do not have a real good answer to you , but I can point a DTV or DN dish at the ground & get a signal lever . It does not mean a lot .

You are using a linear LNBF ? Might try rotating the LNBF 90 degrees ? Also , use a volt meter at the LNBF to see if you age getting both 13 & 18 VDC at the LNBF ?

Also , Try onstalling a DTV LNBF on the dish & USALS'ing to 110 or 119 & see if you can pick up NASA or one of the other free channels . Then tweek the dish . Re-install the linear LNBF anf UASLS to a linear sat .
