There was a time when Intel and the rest of the consumer electronics industry could have chosen to stand up and fight, but that window has now closed. The fix is in, and Hollywood is likely to get everything it wants from here on out.

Finally got around to reading the links.

Just incredible, isn't it? Hollywood is incapable of learning, even when it's spray painted on the wall.

Even that ARM bit was specious. Hollywood could never control enough makers to get people to buy their product when large sections of the electronics market would not support it - the DRM part, anyway.
