Hi,

Please xcuss my basic questions since I'm new to C-band Dishes. As a mater of fact I'm looking to buy one. I'm trying to gather in as much knowledge as I can before I take the plunge. Be prepared for many more lame questions.

Here we go : Do tree branches effect the reception ?

My back yard has many tall trees surrounding it. There is open sky in the center of the yard. Do I need to find one satellite in this open spot and focus on that ? Which means I should use a stationary mounted dish ?

yes trees screw with reception...I learned that today when aiming my big dish. In front of my garage from AMC3 east is kaput due to trees
