I purchased a cable that plugs into the plugs into the top of the ipod that has composite video and stereo audio connections. What I was hoping for was that when I hooked it up to my reciever it would display on my tv what would normally appear on the screen of the ipod, however this is not the case. I only get the audio and no video. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If its not the "made for iPod" cable, the yellow is NOT the video out. You probably have a standard camcorder cable.

nope its not a standard camcorder cable i tried what they were suggested and i was only getting audio out of the red and white plugs and not they yellow like they stated. This link though is for watching movies, that is not what im looking to do, I just what the artist and song info to appear on the screen, or possible a slide show of the pictures the are saved on it.
that sucks, theres no way to show the artist name and track info that playing on the tv?
