IR to UHF Pro Converter

I received one of these kits. The way they address the UHF channel is different than the way the receivers do it (naturally; why do it consistently? )

I have a hew UHF remotes from a DVR I am returning. Can I use them with the converter? If so, what channels do the silver and black tabs on the remote represent?

I have tried all mine with all different tabs, and none work. It seem only the 10.1 remote the kit comes with works.

You can only use the remote that comes with the UHF Upgrade kit, as its a 10.0 remote an

That is pretty stupid to only allow 1 remote to work with the kit. It does not make any sense that all the dual tuner boxes with uhf built in will work with most all remotes, but the kit does not. You would think it would be the same uhf module that is in the dish boxes, just external. It must use a different frequency.
