CNBC had a guest on this morning, he's connected with a hedge fund that is short XM and Sirius, and claimed that DirecTV is entering Satellite Radio in competiton to XM and Sirius. Is this even possible? He claimed DirecTV has three spare satellite in orbit. Thanks.

DirecTV used to own a stake in XM. Since being bought by News Corp. they have since sold that stake IIRC. They used to have a marketing relationship, and I think they should hook back up since Sirius and Dish are hooked up. It'd be really sweet if I could get my XM on my DirecTV bill (which when I get it installed will be on my telephone bill).

DirecTV IS coming out with a mobile video package/solution, so maybe he was confused and was referencing that.
