I am a VOOM customer and they are shutting down as you very well may know.....I remember reading on a forum here that the DVR planned by VOOM would be the first to actually be able to record in HD. Is this true? This one I see at the DirecTV site says it will?

well the first hddvr was the dish 921 the first "working" hddvr was the hd directivo

Actually I think Zenith had a HD PVR out before both of them but it only did OTA.

An HD DVR recording in HD? That would be pure madness. They're actually designed to make coffee and mow the lawn.

That question gave me a good laugh.
