Hi all.

I think I may have asked a similar question a while back in a previous post, however now that I understand my Pansat 3500 receiver and Channel Master software a little better now than I did previously, I think I can ask the question in a little more of a straightforward and simple manner. Anyway, is it possible through a receiver or Channel Master setting to have a manually entered transponder name carry over as the name for a channel when it is scanned and assigned a memory channel? In other words, if I'm manually entering transponders in Channel Master and enter a name for each transponder, is it somehow possible to have that same name carried over as the channel name when a channel is detected on the particular transponder during a satellite scan? It seems that when a channel is detected in a transponder or satellite scan, my receiver ignores any transponder name I may have manually entered and instead assigns the detected service ID as the name for the channel. I realize that this automatic channel naming can be very handy for multiple channel per carrier signals that have many channels on a single carrier (like those on IA 5), however for single channel carriers, it would be great if I could have my manually entered TP name carry over as the channel name. Any information on whether or not this is possible would really be appreciated. Thanks!
