Is Jason Giambin come back Player of the year?

How can you admit to cheating with steriods and not be banned from baseball? How can he even be considered for an award  By the looks of him he has just found a new undetectable designer steriod. Seen his neck lately?

He never admitted publicly or officially that he took steroid ever. He only admitted to the Grand Jury which was supposed to be a sealed testimony but it was leaked.

Who cares how he admitted it. It is public knowledge now. Baseball should ban anyone on steriods pure and simple no matter how they find out. It is not just Giambi either. Not picking just on him. Every one of these superstars posting great numbers should be peeing before every game. A positive test should be a lifetime ban. What they are doing is securing large contracts under false pretences. Taking jobs away from some other individual by cheating. Take the juice away and they fall apart ala Canseco and Sosa and Mcguire. I contend that Giambi's stats are bogus based on the fact that his body was built with steriods in the past at the very least.

So what you are saying is that he is still taking steroids although that has not been proven this year?

read the last sentence Sean. His body was built with steriods. He should be banned. He would not have those muscles without them. He has also admitted to performing with them in his system before Congress. He has already commited a fraud against the game and against every other honest player in the league no matter what he is or is not on now. What is ABSURD is that he is allowed to continue until officially caught  IMO MLB has turned the credibility of this game into that of the WWE by allowing this farce to continue. But you think he should get an award as a comeback player? From what? a steriod induced injury????

Not saying this at all. I was trying to see where you are coming from with saying that he is still doing steroid.

Im saying trying to make 3 points:

#1 His past record of steriod abuse, his current physique, and his numbers warrant sampling before every game.

#2 He has already cheated and shouldnt be there anyway.

#3 His continued presence makes a mockery of MLB.

IMO The idea of a poll considering him as a comeback player proves that MLB and the commish are not the only ones that just dont get it.

Well there is nothing in MLB rules that prohibits him from playing or any of your three points. If you are going to do this for every athlete then the NFL will be without any players :)

Exactly why it is now no more legit than the WWE. And exactly why the government should give it an enema. Starting with the commisioner and the unions.

No, there are plenty of honest athletes in this country to take their place if your speculation is true.

The real comeback player of the year has to be Ken Griffery Jr. There has never been a player in any sport comeback after having his hamstring completely torn away from the bone.

You got a good point.

Comeback from what ???

It depends, if you are asking..., if he cameback from illness last year YES, but if he came back from his illness, that was caused by his steriod abuse, then NO.

Seeing no doctor has definitly explained what the illness was from, I would have to say NO.

I too would go with Griffey

Jimbo
