Is the dish pointing s/w mag or true heading?

But is it magnetic (straight off the compass as read) or true (compensated with declination like when using a topo map) That's 15 deg difference in my area.

Use the number from any online source, and yes you should magnetically compensate the value. It's the same as the echo satellite.

What I can't tell you is if the source you are using is already magnetically compensating (depending on your zip code) or not.

The compass and ultimately the dish should be pointed to the mag dec heading.
