Is there anything else you can do with a 510 DVR?

It seems to me that there are a lot of PC-type componentry here, can you re-image the 510 to be anything other than a Dish DVR? I have one left over and don't think that it is worth much. before I tear it apart and salvage the drive, I thought I'd check with the smart guys.
