A guy in the executive office tells me that it is not covered. If that is the case why do I pay for the warranty?

Did you ask the guy in the ex. office? If he would have told me that I would have asked for a refund of all my warranty fees

Whoever told you that does not know what they are talking about. Anything with a Dish Network logo is covered under the warranty. I heard a rumor not long ago though that they were not going to cover certain things any longer but I cannot remember what that was or if it was even true.
