I found this Dish for Sale on Craigslist, $30.
It's a 36" Prime Focus Ku Dish from Pansat, light commercial I'd guess

The Goal was not to spend any more than I had, and use "parts" from around the house, and not destroy the original Mount.

Motor is an SG2000 that was driving an 80cm Fortec.
Mounting bracket from an old DirecTV Dish
Scalar came with Dish, but the Feed was for a "traditional" Single Polarity Ku LNB, like one used with a CoRotor Feed.
For an LNB, I used the Ku end from a BSC621.

And it works! :)

Good work-how's it work?
And I like that "goal was not to destroy something" lol. That's always my goal, but I usually tear whatever it is up anyway.

Looks good. With all the different components I'd almost call it Franken-dish, but that might imply it's ugly, which it isn't. I like the rubber bands on the lnbf, whatever works is usually my motto! :up

Yes, I think you are one of the first to report good reception with that end of the BSC-621. -

I wish I had one of these SL1P's.
If I did, I'd send it off to you to see if ya could get it mounted.

Didn't recognize the blue LNB cover (no kids).
But, I'll show it to my lunch buddy.
He's got two little ones (2 & 3), so I'm sure he'll recognize the cover right off! - :D
Makes me wonder if a Super Big Gulp would work for a bud lnbf cover? :D
Don't know, but legend has it that Linuxman once used a 5-gallon bucket on his Birdview. -
I think he cut down the height a bit, but it's been a long time and I don't recall the details.

Using a Diamond 9000, yesterday I had Q62 on a very heavy overcast day.
I do not have a 1m to compare with, but off the top of my head....
72west - 12053 Q80
89west - 11955 Q80
129west - 12100 Q80

Those numbers, on those tps, are strong SQ on a Diamond, bravo! :up

Oh yeah. I rarely get those numbers on my Diamond. I'm usually happy for mid-60's. Anywhere north of 70 is great.
I think 55 or so is my threshold for a watchable signal. I'm assuming it's similar for other owners?
