Hey guys , im getting ready to deactivate a 508 dvr receiver from dish network , but wondered if i can still get AAD locals signal?

Yes. I have an owned 622 that I placed as inactive on my Dish account once the DVR charges went sky-high. Even though it is inactive on Dish, I still get all my AAD channels--plus Dish free channels. So instead of paying an extra $17 to Dish each month for a DVR in an extra bedroom, I continue to get AAD network stations in that room (as well as the rest of the house). So visitors can still watch some TV in that guest room.

Do the DVR functions still work? Can you pause, record, set timers, etc?

Problem with recording lengths on 722

What dish do I need?
