I have a 2003 Jetta with an Kenwood SR-901 Sirius tuner hooked up trough aKCA-R70FM, FM modulator. I added an Aux inout to my stock radio using a Blitzsafe adapter, and have aquired an aold Kenwood Here2Anywher plug and play unit from my friend. I wan't to take out my FM moded system and replace it with the plug and play with the aux input. My audio shop advised me that my FM moded setup would have better sound quality because the SR-901 was a better tuner that the Here2Anywhere. So my question is which would have better sound quality.

1. A Kenwood SR-901 with a KCA-R70FM fm modulator.
or
2. A Kenwood Here2Anywhere plug and play tuner hooked up with an Aux input?

sound quality

FM modulators work well but any time you can connect directly via a aux input the sound quality is bound to be better, because you are injecting the audio right into the radio with no modulator in between.
