As of 6:00AM this morning, it's TEN YEARS of WION being back on the air with our team, the folks who created "I-1430", and..along the way performed some of what Jim Carlyle calls, "radio miracles! Those, of course were enlarging the daytime AM signal, the addition of FM for Ionia County, AM stereo broadcasting, and STREAMING of AM stereo! Our first guests were representatives from the Ionia Freefair (Bill Weisgerber) and our Ionia Area Chamber of Commerce with which we still work today, and enjoy covering Expo and other events. We'll talk more about this on Tuesday morning with Linda Curtis from the Ionia DDA as she visits, and throughout the month! In the meantime, a very big and heartfelt THANK YOU from Jim Carlyle, and Jim Aaron, owners of WION for supporting us and helping the station re-launch different than it ever had been. We're still at it, still growing, and have some announcements to bring you this week! Again, our thanks...from THE WHOLE TEAM at WION.....(engineers, support staff, friends, etc..) and here's to MORE years serving Ionia County.
