I am trying to install a Dish 500 with a legacy quad LNB... The switch
check screen is indicating "installed Switch Mode: Undetected"
is this correct? This is a single receiver installation with a legacy 6000
HD receiver. I am assuming I can use any of the four LNB coax cables
as input to the receiver directly .. no switches etc. Is this correct.
Do the unused lnb connections need to be terminated?
My 4 year old is really getting frustrated that she cannot watch Dora
the Explorer.

Thanks

Should've worked. Try swapping cables and ports and see if there's any change. Of course, port #1 is preferable.

A receiver switch matrix reset might be in order. Disconnect sat feed, check switch, pull power plug, check switch, reconnect sat feed, check switch.

Have you aimed the dish? Legacy setups must see a signal before the switch can be detected.
